About Dr. Macagba

Dr. Gregory Macagba earned his optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry, he is board certified by the National Board of Examiners.

Dr. Macagba was born and raised in Bourbonnais, Illinois. He comes from a family of musicians and doctors who also practice in the area. Dr. Macagba attended Maternity B.V.M. grade school and Bishop McNamara high school. He graduated from the University of Illinois where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Community Health with a minor in chemistry. 

While attending optometric school, Dr. Macagba completed externships in Chicago, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and Austin, Texas as well as Wenzhou, China. While in China, he had the opportunity to train with several leading specialists in retina and refractive surgery at one of China’s top medical hospitals, Wenzhou Medical College Eye Hospital. Dr. Macagba is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to our patients, and his passion for his work shines through in every interaction.
